• Looking forward

Last Sunday was the first Artisans in The Palm House of the year. A great venue in Sefton Park, Liverpool. It was packed full of quality art, crafts and food. Larry and Mandy had really grafted to bring it all together and despite a bit of setting up chaos it went extremely well.

I could complain that it was too sunny and too hot but it brought out 4000 visitors who seemed to know what to expect and they appreciated the work on offer. There were some nationally recognised makers as well as some first timers. A great atmosphere brought it all together and it was one of those days when it was good to be tired and unable to leave my stall.

As a member of Southport Contemporary Arts group I am helping to organise our own annual Arts Trail. This will include a two day fair with a selection of work, display, workshop and performance. If it is half as well received as Artisans in the Palm House is will be very pleased. See www.sca-arts-trail.co.uk and follow the ArtS@The Institute links. See you there?

Got 10days until the British Craft Trade Fair! Only a bit worried…..

Lots to do and make to get ready. Got a bit more space this year but had extra new work which I want to highlight. The ‘Fractale’ range is the most interesting development and the early ones have sold straight away. So fingers crossed that the buyers in Harrogate find it ‘worthy’.

Below is a picture of the most complicated one so far.
