I had a good weekend and shared a stall with Southport Ceramic Studio. Unfortunately the studio is going to close and move to Liverpool, leaving the people of Southport without a means of making seramics and staying together as a group.

As part of Southport Contemporary Arts I , with others, are working to try to keep a ceramic studio going. Watch out for news.

The Flower Show was encouraging as far as garden sculptures go. I sold a couple and had plenty of interest. However I still have to moan about the cost of taking part in this type of thing. Our space cost £1000 but because there were 12 of us it was mangeable, but spaces we had were small. THe organisers want crafts there but say they could offer a single space for less than £500. This is still far too risky..... When will these peolple stop and think about those taking part not just allowing one to fall away whilst another hopeful takes their place to then fall away themselves. And so it goes on....
